A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be solved using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox with ease in case you’ve got a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet really easy to work with, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you’ll see a mini "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking on it again will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox easily even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you have set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t want the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
