These are in fact two separate services - the domain registration is the actual name and nothing more, while the hosted domains feature refers to the amount of already registered domain names that one could accommodate within the same website hosting account and have site files and e-mails for them. Your websites will work in precisely the same way regardless if the domains are registered and hosted in one place or are registered with company A and directed to company B. Simply registering a domain name without hosting it will grant you ownership, but will not enable you to have a site until you host this domain address in some account so that records for it are set up and it starts opening the information from that account.

Hosted Domains in Shared Hosting

Using our shared hosting plans you can host a different amount of domain addresses, regardless of whether you register them with our company or through some other provider. If you host just a few domains, you'll probably use much less resources, so you can go for a lower-end plan, which will also be less expensive. If you want to add more domain addresses to your account at some point, you can add extra slots via your hosting CP and keep the current plan or upgrade your entire plan and use the added resources for the new domain names. Either one of the upgrades will take just a couple of mouse clicks and is activated instantly. Since registering and hosting a domain are 2 different things, there isn't any limit how many domain addresses you can register no matter the plan you’ve subscribed for.

Hosted Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

When you acquire a semi-dedicated server plan through our company, you'll be able to host as many domain names as you would like regardless of whether you register them here or you already own them through a different company. We have decided not to limit this feature given that the semi-dedicated plans are quite powerful and the load they are able to handle is fairly high, therefore it wouldn't make sense to be able to host a restricted number of domain addresses. The accounts are controlled through the Hepsia Control Panel, which will provide you with total control over your hosted domains. You can add a new domain with a few clicks and everything is done easily and intuitively, as opposed to alternative Control Panels where you might even have to switch between different accounts to handle a couple of domains. If you register a new domain on our end, it'll be hosted automatically in your semi-dedicated account.

Hosted Domains in VPS Servers

Our VPS web hosting plans can be employed to host unlimited domain addresses regardless of the hosting CP that you select during the ordering procedure. You are going to have plenty of system resources at your disposal, so you can choose how many domains will use them. If you get the VPS with DirectAdmin or cPanel, you will be able to create an independent hosting account for every single domain and we don't have a set limit for the amount of accounts you can create. If you choose our Hepsia Control Panel, all domains shall be handled using one account i.e. there will not be a main domain address and add-on domains like with the other Control Panels. The second alternative might be more convenient if you do not need to give access to a particular domain to other people and you don't want to switch between accounts to control the domain addresses that you host on the server. In addition, any new domain address you register via Hepsia will be hosted automatically on the server without doing anything manually afterwards.
